my motor runs very slow but steady, however, when I increase the speed from 10mm/sec to 11mm/sec it starts to vibrate, or just make a vibrating sound, not moving at all, then it makes a high pitched frequency sound.

I tried using the 3 driver boards that came with it, and 3 different motors, cross-wiring them as I went along, so I tried the same method and it worked for all 9 times when switching, I'm not sure if this is due to insufficient "grounding"?
Because I'm using the controller board GNDs from USB to PC, and then splicing them to all 3 driver boards
I'm not sure if I can send those GNDs from the driver boards into a large piece of metal?
Like...the frame of a CNC? Because I'm making them out of metal?

Thanks so much for your help...
